River Chase Farm is excited to be joining the NCEL this fall!

"The National Capital Equitation League (NCEL), founded in 1979, seeks to promote and foster team spirit while developing individual riders; to foster and encourage the art of equitation; and to reward junior riders for excellence in this art. NCEL is comprised of teams from riding schools located in Maryland and Virginia.

Teams compete at member riding facilities from November through March in a series of round-robin meets patterned after the intercollegiate leagues. This type of competition allows riders to test their equitation and horsemanship skills with many different types of horses. All horses used must be school horses owned by the participating school or privately owned horses that are used regularly in the host school's lesson program. Each coach encourages team support, sportsmanship and enthusiasm to be shown at each meet."    (Courtesy of the NCEL website)

Meghan Weston has spent three to four years coaching NCEL teams.  She is looking forward
to taking more young riders to the NCEL meets this fall. Please contact Meghan if you are interested.
